Rereading feels like learning because it is fluent. Fluency is not the same as recall.
You remember what you retrieve. Closing the page and asking a question — even a clumsy one — does more than highlighting a sentence you already agree with.
Space the returns. A day later, a week later. Forgetting a little is the point. The effort of bringing it back is the learning.
